A Legal Wedding
Unlike our normal wedding ceremony, a legal wedding conforms with Hawaii State marriage laws. It is a legally binding wedding. In addition, you will receive a certified marriage certificate from the State of Hawaii.
A legal wedding can be performed anywhere in the state of Hawaii, including our Beach and Church settings, and can be added to any wedding package for an additional charge.
The day before the wedding:
We will coordinate the completion of the marriage license application
– Our staff will pick you up at your hotel.
– We will assist you in completing the application for a marriage license at the
Hawaii State Department of Health.
– The application will be completed in about 15 to 30 minutes.
– We will transport you back to the hotel.
On your Wedding Day:
Submit your marriage license to the pastor
– We will present your marriage license to the pastor. After the ceremony, the pastor will mail the signed document to the Department of Health.
After returning home:
- A Copy of the marriage certificate will be sent you, or to Lanikai Wedding and we will forward it to you.
- The Formal marriage certificate document is issued within a few months. Once we receive it from the Hawaii State Department of Health, we will mail it to your home.
Note:
- Please note the times that you can apply
– Monday through Thursday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. The Hawaii State Department of Health is not open Friday through Sunday, so please plan accordingly. - This does not grant you the ability to apply for a marriage license outside of the USA.
- You must be single and at least 20 years old.
